Win real ZAR featuring the majestic Big 5 at our online casino South Africa and celebrate our diversity!

South Africa is a beautiful country with a rich history, so naturally, what the country has to offer is well-represented at our online casino South Africa.  With stunning shorelines, picturesque mountain ranges, desserts with the clearest night skies and the African bushveld with its unique wildlife, it is understandable that South Africa is a sought-after travel destination.

It also makes sense that the unique landscape and culture makes for fantastic themes when it comes to games at an online casino South Africa!

A Nation with a Sunny Disposition

What else does South Africa have to offer apart from a treasure cove of magnificently beautiful nature?  Well, if you’re South African, you’ll know – we have the innate ability to find the positive in any negative situation.  You’ll always get an exception, but Saffers are generally a friendly bunch.

We also have a unique way to turn our frustration at any given situation into an opportunity to spread humour.  If you’re from South Africa, you’ll know exactly what we mean…  We doubt there is another country that can push out memes and videos to make light of a situation as quickly as South Africans can!

A Rich and Diverse History

September 24th happened to be Heritage Day – a public holiday where the nation can choose to play at our online casino South Africa, or gooi some boerewors on the braai, complemented by a cool Castle Lager!  The latter is the more favourable option on this particular day and it essentially turns into a collective braai where millions of Saffers celebrate their heritage.  Whether you’re Zulu, Xhosa, an Afrikaner or English citizen, we come together in observance of our Rainbow Nation.

11 Official Languages Yet Words are Not Needed

Admittedly, in a country where there are 11 official languages – Afrikaans, Venda, Tsonga, English, Southern Sotho, Swati, Zulu, Tswana, Ndebele, Xhosa and Northern Sotho – very few of us can fluently speak more than two languages.

The beauty is that, even with what some would perceive a communication barrier, words are not necessary when it comes to celebrating our diversity collectively!  Take the #Imstaying movement for example – this Facebook group has over 1.2 million members comprising South Africans citizens of every ethnicity, gender, culture and creed.  The group has achieved major success in sharing positivity and uniting Saffers from all over.

Another example is our online casino South Africa – it doesn’t matter what language you speak, the games at Springbok Casino are easy to engage, and anyone can join in the fun!

Top Must-See Places in South Africa!

As we’ve mentioned, the southern tip of Africa truly has breath-taking scenery… and you’re still working on your ‘places to travel to’ bucket list, here are a few of our gems that are a must!

Kruger National Park

Our online casino South Africa is not the only place where you can see the King of the Jungle – plan a visit to the Kruger National Park and you’ll get to see the King, along with the rest of the Big Five, in flesh!  What is the Big Five?  It’s literally on our currency – lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo.

The Kruger Park, situated in north-eastern South Africa covering the Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces, comprises nearly 2 million hectares of unrivalled wildlife diversity.

Set against Mountains, bush plains and tropical forests, you have a wide choice of accommodation options ranging from camping to 5-star lodges.  There is mobile reception and most lodges are equipped with WiFi for you to enjoy our online casino South Africa after hours!

During the day, you can go sight-seeing with your own vehicle if you’re a self-drive safari enthusiast, or you can book tour guide for a trip through the park on a vehicle, or even by foot.  The great part about using a guide is that they’re in constant communication with other rangers and they know exactly where to take you for the best sightings!

Robben Island

Nobel Prize winner and former President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, was imprisoned on Robben Island for 18 years out of his 27 years spent in incarceration.  It is a sad story, but also one filled with optimism and positivity.  Not only did he hold no grudges, he managed to unite and incredibly divided country through his wisdom, and showed that irrespective of your trials and tribulations, there is always hope.

Robben Island, situated 6.9kms west off the coast of Bloubergstrand, was fortified and used mainly as a political prison from the late 17th century until 1996, soon after the abolishment of Apartheid.

Robben Island is now a national museum, as well as a South African National Heritage Site and a UNESCO World Heritage site that is well worth visiting.  The island offers a fascinating insight into the reconciliation and resilience that was key to creating the New South Africa.

Visit Prison No. 7 where President Nelson Mandela was held, the Lepers Graveyard, the Prison Museum and the Penguin Sanctuary – and who knows, you might even see a few whales, sharks and dolphins if you’re lucky!

Other destinations to add to your bucket list:

  1. Garden Route – 300km’s of shoreline with beaches and bays surrounded by mountains and indigenous forests.
  2. The Great Karoo – a vast semi-desert stretching over 3 provinces covering 400,000 sq km’s, with beautiful mountains, vast plains and picturesque towns filled with history.
  3. Table Mountain – a prominent South African landmark, this flat-topped mountain in Cape Town is a massive tourist attraction offering hikes and cableway rides.
  4. Drakensburg – bordering South Africa and Lesotho, the majestic mountain range with an elevation of 3,482 metres forms part of The Great Escarpment, offering hiking trails, winter sports, streams and magnificent valleys.
