FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

14 October 2026 – Johannesburg, South Africa – The sands are shifting and the temple gates are opening as Springbok Casino announces the arrival of Shadow Gods, a dramatic new Egyptian-themed online slot featuring powerful deities, treasure-filled Coin Re-Spins and two distinctive Free Games experiences.

Set within the majestic temples and shadowed realms of ancient Egypt, Shadow Gods places the legendary Anubis and Horus at the centre of the action. Players are invited to explore a richly detailed world of sacred Masks, valuable Coins and hidden rewards across a 5-reel, 3-row layout with 50 paylines.

The new release combines familiar reel-based gameplay with features designed to create suspense and meaningful choices. Its central Coin Feature is activated when six or more Coin symbols appear anywhere during the main game.

Triggering Coins remain locked in position while the remaining spaces receive three Re-Spins. Every new Coin that lands is held for the remainder of the feature and resets the Re-Spin counter to three. At the end of the feature, all displayed Coin values and bonuses are awarded.

Players who manage to fill all 15 positions with Coins unlock the game’s impressive Grand Bonus.

Players Choose Their Own Free Games Path

One of the most distinctive elements of Shadow Gods is the choice presented when three or more scattered Mask symbols activate the Free Games feature.

Players may select either Wild Reels or Treasure Spins, with each option awarding six Free Games and offering a different way to experience the game.

During Wild Reels, Anubis and Horus are held on reels 2 and 4, keeping the two legendary gods involved throughout the feature. The Coin Feature remains available and the round can be retriggered, adding six additional Free Games.

Players who select Treasure Spins receive six Free Games with Coin symbols held across every position on reel 5. This option also allows the Coin Feature to activate and can be retriggered for six extra Free Games.

The choice gives players greater control over their experience, allowing them to call upon the power of the Egyptian gods or concentrate on uncovering the treasures hidden within the temple.

“Shadow Gods has everything we look for in an exciting new release: a powerful theme, easy-to-follow features and a genuine choice that lets players decide how they want their Free Games to unfold,” said Daniel van Wyk, Casino Manager at Springbok Casino.

“Anubis and Horus give the game a fantastic visual identity, while the Coin Re-Spins create real anticipation as every new symbol locks into place. We believe our South African players will have a lekker time choosing their favourite path and exploring everything hidden inside this ancient temple.”

An Egyptian Adventure with a Powerful Top Award

Shadow Gods offers a listed top award of up to 50,000 times the bet per line. Its combination of 50 paylines, collecting mechanics and selectable Free Games makes the game accessible to newcomers while still providing the layered bonus action experienced players enjoy.

The ancient Egyptian setting is brought to life through glowing gold details, imposing temple architecture and contrasting images of Anubis and Horus. The result is a visually striking experience that supports the game’s theme of divine power, mystery and long-hidden treasure.

Shadow Gods is available at Springbok Casino from 14 October 2026.
